Awohah is a new word for a new kind of connection. It never existed before. It was born from the Papiamentu word "Awora," which means "What's up."
Locals use it between friends, between people who understand each other. It is not formal, not distant, just warm and real.
We softened the R to an H, so that anyone, anywhere in the world, could say it with ease. That is the beauty of Awohah. It keeps the heart of the islands while inviting everyone in.

Awohah was created by someone who carries both worlds in her heart, the Caribbean and the Spain.
Growing up between these two places, she saw how travelers from Europe and the United States often visited the islands without truly experiencing their soul. She also saw how locals with incredible ideas, creativity, and hospitality were not getting the visibility they deserved.
That gap inspired the birth of Awohah. A place where both worlds can finally meet on equal ground.
